QUARANTINE WALL

2020. Suddenly we find ourselves in a worldwide pandemic!

How do we deal with it? How do we see the present? And the future?

Since March 2020 without being able to leave the house, urban artist Simone Siss

creates the #quarantine wall project. From inside his studios in São Paulo and Atibaia, he creates phrases and visual poetry using supports and materials found around him, such as walls, newsprint, paint cans, construction instruments and household objects.

The photographic records of these works flood the artist's social networks, always with irreverence, subverting social conventions and bringing art as an exercise to deal with our fears, anxieties, hopes...

The project has received significant feedback from people who follow the artist and identify with this pandemic universe portrayed in the sentences. In April 2021, the artist's Instagram profile (@simonesiss ) completed over 10k followers.

More than an artistic expression, the book Parede da Quarantena that brings a selection of the best phrases, is an attempt to propose a question: what would be normal?
